I just wanted to say HELLO! And I didn't come back empty handed

Looking back at my old stuff...wow what a change.

Let's see how long I disappear for this time.

I am so sorry about my absence (some of you know I've been active elsewhere ). I don't have a really good reason other than being unsatisfied and lazy with drawing/art as of late. Somehow I hit a massive art slump, you know, where you just hate everything you make. And now I feel out of practice.
I'll make no promises about anything at this point, but I will TRY to have something here done at least before classes start again.

So on top of all the good news we've been getting recently...I've got my own personal good news.
I'M GOING TO TORONTO CON IN OCTOBER!!!!
I just received my ticket! I'm poorer, oh so poor. But dammit if this isn't a once-in-a-lifetime chance that I finally get to meet the men of Supernatural (namely Misha XD) IT'S A LONG WAY OFF BUT I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS/PLANS along with meeting a few others I met on tumblr and in forums, hopefully So if you're going, give me a shout! And perhaps we may run into each other!

Also I will post/write about my experience for all of you who are watching me XD ...in October (I know, long way off). I do it cuz I love you all, and I'll see if I can share some photos too here.

If anyone has some Con experience I would be very happy to know, as this will be my first SPN convention. Any advice would be much appreciated!

YESSS!

I think my last journal was the most action and drama I've ever had on the net. Yep, I live a pretty sheltered digital existence.

But I'm very happy to say that and I have talked and even became friends out of this.
So what's the lesson? Don't plagiarize? Respect the artist? Deviants having the same icon is a fantastic way to prank people? Well, I've learned that as long as you're polite and mature about things, then usually you can avoid a fight. I'm just extremely relieved it didn't escalate into one. And I'm glad about joining DA still, because it has proven and allowed me to meet others who are just wonderful human beings.

And to anyone who had thoughts about getting a shiny new avatar, well, like I said before, all you have to do is ask nicely and you shall receive.


hmm, I dunno if I should put this out there, I'm very busy at the moment with classes, and side projects, and the end of term is coming soon...

oh to hell with it.
Okay! To anyone who thinks they desperately need to update their image/ avatar or a are just hopeless with making art,  then please leave a comment, and I will get back to you and we can work out what kind of image you want and what works best for you. and maybe figure out some sort of trade or something.

I'm a graphic design student, I'm still learning of course, but this may be a good chance for practice...
I have been making art for a lot longer, and know a bit about logo design. So how do you want to be remembered in 50x50pixels of space?

UPDATE: NEVER MIND the problem has been resolved, thankfully. She's a nice person, and we all make silly mistakes.


okay guys I'm sorry to bug you, but there seems to be someone who is using my avatar without my knowledge. I didn't know that others on DA would do that. I made this gif, and I got confused when I thought someone was talking about me when really it's someone else on DA.

I'm only writing this to hopefully pressure her to change it.
As a fellow SPN fan I don't want to start a fight over something like this.

But I can't help but be peeved, because I made it, it should be what helps others identify me. Now someone has gone and taken it without my permission. Having the same icon is confusing for me and other users. I'm disappointed too, because she is an artist, is it that hard to make your own avatar? It should be unique to her.

I wouldn't have minded so much if she had asked beforehand. Heck I can make more gifs/avatars for others if they bothered to ask nicely, and I would have given it, no fuss no mess.

I'm just really annoyed right now.

As for proof I made it, well I have the original and much larger version of the gif on my computer. If need be I'll post it here then quickly take it down.
